Do I need to know how to code?
No. Desktop apps like LibreOffice, Firefox, and VLC install like other apps. Running your own Nextcloud or Jellyfin server takes more setup. Each project’s details explain the starting point.
Can I keep using Windows or macOS?
Absolutely. Many of these apps work on both. You can start with a browser or office suite and explore Linux later, if you want to.
